You can also find the Internet Settings by opening your control panel and it is a file that is located in that window too.
There will be an erase settings button there that will erase the history. You can also delete your temporary internet files (copies of visited websites and cookies) there too. That frees up a lot of space.
On this page you can also select the number of days that the computer will retain your history before automatically deleting it. Go ahead and turn that down to one or two.
