Its sad that Pres.Bush Jr has given in to this arms mafia.
The Russians will most certainly be moving for their own such system, probably built around their S300 system, as well as beef up their ICBMs.
Its the Chinese reaction which has me worried sick. They are most definitely going to up the ante with more ICBMs and defence spending, which means India will have no option but to follow suit.
Pres. Bush deserves to have those missiles stuck up his rear for pushing the world into another arms race.

As to the rest of this missile defence system. The Cold War is now over, and there really is no nuclear threat which is going to require such and expensive, and threatening system such as this.
What needs to be done is to try and stamp out the new forms of terrorism, i.e. chemical weapons, suitcase bombs, etc, because this is where the real threat to America is going to come from, and it will more than likely come from within, a la Oklahoma City.
You will know have Russia, China, India, Pakistan, North Korea, Iran, and all these other country's which I have noticed some Americans calling the 'enemy' (even though you aren't at war with any of them), spending more on defence, which will herald a new arms race, and with it, maybe, another Cold War. The planet does not need this.

Have we had a problem yet with other countries attacking us? No we havn't so I dont think we should be worried now. We have the army to protect us, thats what it is here for.
If we had a missle defence system, would could just sit on our butts and be like, lets not fight, lets not help other counties, lets just sit here. Hey, if they are going t shoot missles at us, the Missle Defence System will protect us.
ITS A BIG MISTAKE TO MAKE IT. AND A HUGE WASTE OF OUR MONEY!! Talk about the USA being free with money to build this, we'll waste billions of dollars on this, yet sit trillions of dollars in debt. But then again, debt is becoming an american thing. There is so many better things that the feds could do with our nations money.
I still think we are all going to die since Bush was elected, i think he is a moron, who knows nothing, I feel at my age, 15, with a nineth grade education, I am smater than he is. But that has nothing to do with this. But all in all, i think this will cause more problems.
We have no problems with foregin countries attacking us, so why, mess? Other countries know the US is a strong millitary force, and dont usuall mess with us. We are the ones usually sticking out noses in to other counties problems trying to solve them. We are fine now, leave it be!!! Any one agree??

Hmm... so you wouldn't have ANY problem, as a 15 year-old obtaining a bachelors from Yale and an MBA from Harvard, not to mention flying an F-102, and you have just as much political experience as a 6-year Texan governor, the first ever to be re-elected. No problem... oh- and maybe learn how to spell? You may be "smater" than the POTUS, but not smarter.

Oh please.... It is THE primary obligation of the federal government to provide for the common defense, and to be vigilant regarding potential threats, prospective capabilities, and perceived intentions of potential enemies.
I strictly oppose unilateral disarmament and dismemberment of our defense infrastructure.
That which is hastily torn down will not be easily rebuilt.
