Cool photos. I was pleasantly surprised that I could see my tiny island of Trinidad (off the coast of Venezuela) in the daytime pic. And yes... The night time pic does make one reflect on the resources that some countries consume. What was even more surprising (to me) was that India was more lit up than Australia.

I havea scientific question. How can the ENTIRE earth be EXPERIENCING "nighttime" at the same time?? Are those pictures actually composites??

Just wondering. I mean, its dark here but sunny in Syndey right now.
