I thought i'd share this beautiful picture with a.net, has anyone else seen it? a picture of London taken by astronauts from the international space station.

I can somewhat pick out LHR, but LGW is somewhat engulfed in the surrounding lights. I suppose that all the lights on the Orbital is from the cars stuck in queues, or? Big grin

I was awed when i saw it, the glowing bright yellow patch in the middle is central london.

Right now, the brightest point on the image (on the M25 anyway) is the southwestern section from the M4 to the M23. 4 lanes in each direction. When it gets expanded some more, possibly to 6 lanes at some locations, think how much brighter that image would be!

The M25 stretches around London for something like 125 km.
Hyde Park is also clearly visible.
