Just wondering if there's anyone else in here who owns a H/K product? I myself am a VERY pleased owner of a '01 Harman/Kardon AVR2000 reciever. This thing is without a doubt my best investment ever. It plays loud and clear even though it's rated at 5*40W. All H/K receivers are about low watts but very high current. And the Logic 7 surround mode is just terrific, i couldn't live without it. Watching regular Stereo TV broadcasts is a whole different story with the Logic 7 mode, it's far better than Dolby Pro Logic in my oppinion. When i buy a new receiver i'm gonna go H/K again. Hands down.

I believe Harman/Kardon only spent a couple years in the US with a home audio line before they pulled out. That being said, the only H/K products we have owned was the factory installed audio system in the '97 Saab and the '93 Jag.

Got 2 Harman/Kardon speakers and a sub for my PC. Good system, but the Boston Acoustics system from my old PC (now the sound system in my room) was much better. The Boston speakers are crisper and the sub delivers more bass. My Harman/Kardon sub doesnt crank out as much bass as as I'd like it to.

I have several HK power amps and receivers lying about. None work as I have'nt gotten around to repairs but all served faithfully for many years. Dman good equipment.
What is it with all the "is there a possibilty airline X will.." threads? The answer it'll is possible.

Jim,
I have a 2002 BMW 330 Ci Convertible. Congrats on a great car. I love mine. The sound system is okay. It's better than the standard factory. It by no means sounds like anything out of a 7 series, but it sounds a helluva lot better than ANYTHING out of a Z3. Your base will have a little thump, but you aren't going to sound like a thugsta. My dad drives the X5 4.6. It's got a GREAT sound system in it. Dunno if it's factory or not, but it beats the hell out of my 3. But as far as refinement goes, you will be more than impressed with your harman/kardon 3 series.

UAL747, mine will be the 330Ci hardtop coupe. I presume that there will be a difference in sound quality between the hardtop and the convertible. My parents have the 745Li and the system sounds really cool. I already have my CDs ready and selected to hear the tunes. Thanks for responding.
