I didn't see a single April Fools joke. Usually they are on the front page of the papers and on the radio news. Today I saw and heard nothing. Weren't they there or did I get suckered in and just not know it?

After seing the explosion of threads started by Qantasforever, ADG, and Glenn, I'm starting to believe I'm right in the middle of an april fools joke right now. But I don't find it funny.

Dad threw my Maglite into the canal and then said april fools...I didn't really get the point, because it was my maglite, and it is really still in the canal.

I think Tiscali in the UK ran one on their home page about "London going to begin a pedestrian congestion charge". Didn't click on the "article" to find out more.

I don't mind posts that aren't about the war, and you are more than welcome to make optimistic and happy threads. But I don't think posting all the stuff you come up with during brainstorming is the way to go. I'd raher see 10 well written threads about the war than 1 thread about old mattresses. And you must admit there wasn't much to discuss after reading that mattress thread...
So I'd rather encourage you guys to write threads that have nothing to do with the war, just do it in a professional manner. Don't say whatever comes to your mind just make a thread that isn't war related. The forum doesn't need that either.

Yeah, I know, ADG's been on a posting spree today - but they still beat the war threads.
Anyway, to lighten the mood, I haven't been suckered in yet, but one of my friends has. He was absent yesterday, so one of the guys in his class asked if he was prepared for the test today (since he's got a reputation of assigning tests on short notice) - funny thing about it was, there actually is a test tomorrow, and he didn't know about it!
