what is that. my town is talking about introducing it to us. Is it any good. It seems weird to me.

They're probably talking about robotic arm refuse trucks. Basically, the truck has an arm that reads a chip in the trashcan. When the truck sends out an RF pulse, the chip "rings," causing the arm to lock on to and dump the trashcan. It then returns the can (with memory) to the exact place it was. Labrie (in Quebec) is one of the leading manufacturers of automated refuse collection systems...
