You can still debate whether women belong in actual combat....but you can no longer debate that they can't fight it out with the best of them.

In debate class we are trying to pick potential topics for debate, and I suggested the issue of women in combat...it should be one that our class actually does...its more relevant than ever nowadays...

I love it when a woman has to do what she has to do. Very sexy.

My fear when she comes home? Some jackass at one of the networks will want to make a reality-based show about her. With her good looks, someone will start a show where a hundred young suitors try to get her to marry them. You watch...it will happen!  Laugh out loud

Considering that most gentlemen would never hit a girl, they have the combat advantage...plus I'm sure more than one Iraqi got his nuts mashed...and what would kicking a woman in between the legs accomplish?  Big grin That's right. Squat. I believe women first flew in combat during Operation Desert Fox. If I'm not mistaken.

Anyway...God Bless our Troops and hats off to PFC Lynch...glad to see she's ok.

Including the part about not being able to read a map so they were unfortunate enough to put themselves in that position and lose lives out of it

Is this another Blackhawk down incident

What else would you expect from the best trained and well equipped military in the world.

Including the part about not being able to read a map so they were unfortunate enough to put themselves in that position and lose lives out of it

With all due respect was this an appropriate statement to make?

Sounds like Pfc Lynch did her duty admirably. God bless her!

ROLL ON!

Dunno, well see in teh movie. Can't help but feel if they had read the map right they wouldn't have been there.

If I had been the one to have mis read the map and sent my mates to their deaths, I don't think I would be proud of i. no matter how hard we fought

Glenn: country you've never been to before, during combat operations, lots of tension and confusion, no doubt.

I think you need to cease and desist with such lowball comments, until you reach God-like perfection, which, by my reckoning, will be never.

Even more reason for me to be more careful reading the map.

One false move in a war zone is deadly. Make no mistakes about that.

But to clarify it for ya. Not disputing the bravado as america is full of it, it was the mistake at the begining that I couldn't be proud of.
