Only Tell Me What I Want To Hear!

As many of you know I was, and still am against this war. So I have now resorted to only listening to people who share my own views.

If you agree that this war is bad I will add you to my respected user list, and I will compliment you because you are smart and wise.

If you are FOR this war, then I will not listen to your stupid comments since you are all closed minded. I will only try to insult you, since it is obvious that you have never been outside of your country. There are many other a.net members who have served in the UN and have years of ambassador experience so I will listen to them only.

I am too young/insecure to think that I *may* be wrong.

I agree with you, I am still against this war! Look what is up right now in the streets of the Iraqi capital, anarchism on the streets and the soldiers do not know how to solve the problem. Of course this is only one result of the war, I will not know how many worldwide political and economical problems will follow.

I'm against this war, and glad at least one doesn't listen to the stories of cowboy bush + his entourage, and low value press like cnn and fox (only to name a few).

Keep it up!!  Big thumbs up

C'mon guys, whichever opinion you might have about this, but not recognizing that this was clearly a piece of sarcasm shows that some of you should really overhaul their irony/sarcasm detectors... (that does not mean that I agree with Airworthy, one could easily write something similar about the pro-war-group)

ciao

Definately still very strongly against this war.
Nice idea perhaps. I thought I was by far the most anti war person around.

My cousin is a very wise (though smart-assed) person.

He says, "The instructor will appear when the student is ready."

I know better than to try to convince anyone on these forums (with a few exceptions) of the propriety of my political views. Were I to do so (as I used to do before recognizing the futility of the gesture), I would use facts, coupled with citations to indepondently-verifiable sources, and apply principles of logic to support the conclusions I was promoting.

There is no point in attempting to persuade those whose closed minds will not allow them to consider the possibility they could be wrong... or those who cannot consider the possibility that there may be some middle ground between their chosen view (anointed as perfect) and the antithesis thereof.
