I'm often amazed at how many posts some of our most dedicated members make on the forums. Some of the members who've been here the longest have a staggering number of total posts. Of course, the amount of time they've been here plays a part in calculating how truly active they are on the forums. I wanted to see who the most prolific members in terms of post frequency are on a.net. So, using the list of registered users, I made some calculations. My personal hunch for #1 turned out to be right! Some of the people at the top of the list may surprise you:
1) Yyz717: 6938 posts in 20 months = about 11.5 posts per day!
followed by
2) EGGD: 8617 in 26.5 mos = 10.8 ppd
3) jwenting: 6152 in 24 mos = 8.5 ppd
3) KROC: 9169 in 36mos = 8.5 ppd
5) Singapore_Air: 7177 in 30 mos = 8.0 ppd
5) Alpha 1: 6484 in 27 mos = 8.0 ppd
7) L-188: 9510 in 46 mos = 6.9 ppd
7) Superfly: 7450 in 36 mos = 6.9 ppd
Numbers are approximate (especially due to my rounded 'month' calculation), so some of the extremely close 'ties' may not quite be accurate. Also, some of these members may CURRENTLY be more or less busy than the calculated average. But these figures are, I'd say, quite accurate overall.
I was surprised to see jwenting and EGGD so high in the list; they don't seem as 'active' to me, but i'm guessing this is just because their posts are less controversial and come up for deletion less often. Good job guys.
It was also surprising to see that L-188, the all-time post leader, was all the way down at number 7 (still not bad, out of 2000!) He'll still be the first to cross the 10,000 post-mark, but my money's on Yyz717 for 20,000.
It should also be noted that Alpha 1 and KROC have most likely each had several hundred posts deleted, so their numbers may be unfairly low.
One last point: I was only able to calculate for the people who had a whole whack of posts overall, so some of the newer members may well post more frequently. So, additions/corrections to this list may be in order from some newer members.
Calculate your own post frequencies if you wish, and let us know how active you are here!

Found another, newer, high scorer:.
Gigneil has made 2322 posts in just under 6 months, for a monthly total of about 400, or about 13.3 posts per day. However, we'll have to see if he can stay active long enough to really catch up with the big guns above.

My humble post total of 2227 only works out to be about 3.749158291 post per day. I think I would have to only post about 1,000 post per day for the next few days to move up towards the top of the list. I just have to put on my ILS/Flight Level hat and come up with an imaginary career to post over and over about and I'll be all set.

rofl, yes.. I do post alot, but then again, I only open topics I know I will post in, i'm a quick thinker and a quick typer. Usually I only spend max 20 minutes on the forums each day.
I do post longer replies too, often I do take time and effort into posting, if its something I feel the need to go into depth.
Still, I know message boards where people have 15,000 posts+ and 50 posts per day, thats just crazy...
I'm more prolific than anything else, just keep posting the same amount every day.

I think user N951U has a lot of catch-up work as he formerly posted here under another nickname but deleted himself...perhaps that explains the 32 posts in one day thing...
Anyway, not counting this post I have 3741 posts and have been here for 1081 days...an average of 3.46 per day...Ive also had several long hiatuses from the forum during that time so thats kept that average down though...I guess for being in the top 25 posters of a.net quantity wise, Im pretty subtle and quiet...

Been here 849 days with a mere average of 1.90 posts per day. Yet through an odd mix of embarrassing photos, posts in some high profile threads, a quirky sense of humour, and being highly opinionated, I've made my glorious presence known to the masses.
