I am VERY happy to see the run that the New Jersey Devils and the New Jersey Nets have had over the past few years. These teams were pitiful over the years and I am glad to see them both in the Finals at the same time. I wonder if this is the first time that two teams playing in the same arena have made it to the finals in the same year?
I think for sports you really can't beat NJ. You have some great rivalries between the NJ and Philadephia Fans and some great coverage of all the games.

Why don't the Nets sell out more often than they do? They didn't have too many during the regular season....why is that exactly? It seems the population base is there....but the support seems to slack sometimes. Same holds true for Atlanta sports (except the Falcons)....terrible attendance, huge city, great teams...go figure.

NJ doesn't have the college sports, which is important I think.

I agree that the Nets should be selling out more and more. Hopefully as momentum builds they will. Season ticket sales were up a lot from last year to this year so that is a start. People sometimes want to see more results before they jump on the bandwagon fully I guess.
College sports are important. That will change shortly though

I'm so glad my two favorite sport teams are in! Now I just need the Yankees to go the World Series and the Giants to go to the Super Bowl, and I'm set!

The NY Rangers won the Stanely cup in 1994, the same year the Knicks lost in 7 games to the Houston Rockets.
So in '94 both the Knicks and Rangers were in their Championships.
The Nets are finally getting lots of calls and attention on WFAN, especially from Mike and the Mad Dog.

Continental Airlines had a great ad in either the NY Times or NY Post today, pointing out the fact that both teams that are in their Championships play at the Continental Airlines arena.
