I've been hearing some awesome music lately, and I just had to put it up here.

First of Manitoba. There new album is nothing short of amazing. Everything is done to perfection. Please do youself a favor and buy or download their new album up in flames.

Second- M83, another great techno group well worth your while. There latest album is entitled Dead Cities, Red Seas and Lost Ghosts.

Cursive is also making great new heavy indie rock type stuff on their album the ugly organ.

Joan Of Arc is back with a new album also. I strongly recommend EVERYTHING they've ever done

Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard has put together and excellent techno act called the postal service, they are making one album. Download some, and try it out.

The Sea and Cake just did a new effort of melodic guitar riffs, that should definitely not be missed.

Last, but not least please for all you straight rockers out there check out Ted Leo and the Pharmacists new album, hearts of oak. It is definitely kick ass British rock

Cursive is real good.

Postal Service is good if you consider how the music was made, otherwise, it's more ok than good. Death Cab fell off last album, so nice to see him doing other things.

never heard of the other acts, so much good music out now, I will check them all out and see how it goes.

My suggestions for rock:

The Empty http://www.theempty.com
These guys rock me so hard, d/l "The Maker of Sick"

Vendetta Red
I think they are getting radio time now??!

Coheed & Cambria
their album "Second Stage Turbine Blade" is most excellent

They're not handing trophies out today

The empty are definately an extremely good band. The death cab album was ok though nothing spectacular, but still better than run of the mill.

I saw DCFC a year or two ago, and while they werw sort of disapointing (i really only like SAA I guess), but of the openers were great.

The Prom (also on Barsuk) In this way they found me is my fav album

The Swords Project- Somewhat accurately described by a freind as rock and roll band playing chamber music

When in doubt, one B pump off

I'll keep a look out for Manitoba here.

If they are truly good our record store for the DJ's - "Central Station" will have it.

Hoo roo!
