Ryan's father was a cop with the Baltimore Police I think, if you read "Without Remorse" that is a big part of the story, and its also mentioned in other books...I dont ever recall that information (who was a WWII paratrooper) in any book-but John T. Clark/Kelly makes the most sense because of his age-his father would be about the right age during WWII...
