Only landed at Muscat Seeb a few times, once stayed long enough to visit the old town and the harbor - the old city is quite historic but around the airport, and the hotel I was (a Sheraton or a Hilton...) all was "modern McDonald culture" - Toyotas, and Cadillacs...

Climate is desert dry, hot, very hot daytime summers, in winter, temperature may drop slightly below 20º at dawn... Workers are generally Asians, from India or Philippines, supervised by Europeans, mostly UK personnel.
