It looks like Vancouver, BC, Canada will get the 2010 winter games. An official annoucement will be made tomorrow.
This is great for Vancouver and Seattle. It's been a while since this part of the world got a major sporting even. The last were the Goodwill games here in Seattle and the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary.
Both airports by than will be like brand new. Seattle should have the new third runway and central terminal and terminal A done by than and will be able to handle the crowed heading up to YVR.

You make it sound as if the decision was already made, and that we are only waiting for the 'official announcement'. The decision will be made tomorrow, when the IOC members have to vote for their favorite city. Although it is very likely that Vancouver will win, this is by no means a certainty!
It would be great to see the games coming to Vancouver, although it would almost certainly mean that New York will not get the 2012 summer games, which is a pitty.

Yea I agree Floris, but I've just researching different website and it looks like Vancouver will get it. Vancouver is going to be great. It is such a nice city. I call it the New York of the west coast.
It is bad New York City wont get the summer games but my opinion I think the city would be bad for the games.
