With the current so called scandal of Airliners.net chat, I decided to take a peek at what was on offer. Here is the following transcript of around 15-20 minutes of absolute tripe.
Moderator: BOScenter.
[Maro0] minyas you mean you agree with me?
[minyas]no
***You are now known as Guest97833

[Guest97833]So who does?
[minyas]I didn't say I hate gays, I dont hate anyone~
[sk903]??
[minyas]I dont hate gays ether
[sk903]so??
[Guest97833]So who does?
[sk903]I wonder the same
[minyas]whats your problem sk 903
[Marc0] I just don't agree with their lifestyle.
And it waffles on until Singapore_air is kicked from the chat for the following:
***Singapore_Air was kicked from #aviation by BOScenter(stop repeating, we heard you the first time)
As you may have guessed I was "guest97833". I repeatedly asked what was the problem with the "gay thang" and was pointedly ignored.... Hhhmm I ask myself.
Then we have user "minyas" arguing with herself like a schizophenic.
Then "minyas" refers to another user who always gets "kicked" and will not come on. Why we ask ourselves?
Besides being extremely boring, inane and pointless, I was interested in the "gay" and "kicked" comments. As the worm turns, its OK for someone to be homophobic on the chat, but not for someone to repeat themselves.
(Singapore_Air repeatedly posted "Bye bye bye" and was kicked...)
What a very odd and bizarre little world the a.net chat moderators live in, not only are they analy retentive, they seem to encourage homophobia and nutcases who talk to themselves, then re-log in another user name.
To my good friend Brissie_Lions, now I know how upset and annoyed you were with the treatment that the "chat" nazi's doled out to you. But after visiting the chat, all of the users are terrified of saying anything out of the ordinary that they pointedly ignored my repeated questions of "Why was someone making gay comments and why were they not deleted..".
Too scared to get kicked off a loser chat? Why the homophobia? Why the nutcases?
But then again if you read the rant's that AccessHair has dished out over the past few weeks then it is any wonder..

I like how my "Chat Room" thread was deleted.. That's real fair, Johan.

My post may have contributed as well, but I stand by what I said. The Chat Room gives Airliners.net a bad name.
