There's an idea for a contest:
Here are pictures of fast cars, try to guess what car it is. But they don't look as they do normally...

Yes, L-188, I found that wrecked car page and then read your mug contest and so had that idea, but I hope you don't mind...
But I prefer to post the pictures, because when you make links you can see the link destination in the bottom left corner of the communicator and I just can't keep my eyes away from there... (don't know about you)
I'd just want you not to find out the model by cheating (it's not that hard to get the picture's name)...

Some are easier, some are harder, but I avoided cars that are absolutely not identifyable.

Have fun.

So, I hope you like contests.
I like them a lot, and I like creating them...
Don't cheat!

Number 9 is a DeTomaso Pantera. 80's classic.

The advanced one is definitely a Viper. I can still recognize the intake plenum.

1. Z3 Coupe, most likely an M edition
2. Ford GT40, probably a MkI or MkII
3. Ferrari F50
4. DMC DeLorean
5. Viper RT/10
6. Jaguar XK8
7. McLaren F1 (I am nowhere certain about that one)
8. C5 Corvette Convertible
9. DeTomaso Pantera... actually a 1970s vintage car... I believe it used a fairly well massaged Ford 351 V8.
10. Ferrari 456 GT

Bonus: I originally thought a Jaguar XJS V-12... but after AA61Hvy's comment, it does look like a Viper... at least what is left of it.

Stop drop and roll will not save you in hell. --- seen on a church marque in rural Virginia

Don't look at this post if you want to solve the quiz youself.

You got everything right, relying on what's said on the site mixed with my own knowledge (Nr.1 is listed as an M3 on the site, what it clearly isn't...).

1.M roadster coupé (not sure about M, side grille looks like)
2.GT40, don't know who Jimmy is...
3.F50 (what else could it be?)
4.DeLorean (Wasn't there a designition like DMC-10?)
5.Viper RT/10
6.XKR
7.Pagani Zonda, look at the rear, at the front lying the wrong way in front of the car, the "cockpit", everything's unique...
8.Corvette C5
9.De Tomaso Pantera, nice one Buckfifty, DesertJet!
10.Clearly Modena
adv. Yes, it's a Viper
