Due to the popularity of the Survivor shows, Mississippi is planning to do its own, entitled "Survivor - Mississippi Style."
The contestants will start in Biloxi, travel up to Hattiesburg and on to McComb and Jackson. Then they will head up to Yazoo City, Senatobia and Tupelo.
From there they will proceed down to West Point and Columbus.
Then back down through Louisville, Quitman, Laurel, and to Lucedale and back down to Biloxi.
Each will be driving a bright pink Volvo with California license plates and bumper stickers that read:
"I support PETA".
"No more cutting down timber".
"The NORTH was RIGHT".
"The PAC10 can Beat the SEC ANYDAY".
"Hillary/Sharpton in 2004".
"Deer Hunting is murder".
And "I'm here to confiscate your guns!"
The first one who makes it back to Biloxi alive, wins.

Steve, I was stationed at Keesler AFB. And yes, I did venture well East into Florida for some real beaches. The Mississippi Beaches, with there polluted brown water, dead fish everywhere, trash all over the beaches just will not work. Besides, me and a friend must have walked half way to Cuba one day before the the water started getting deep, lol.

Yeah, being from Jackson, I've been down to the Mississippi Gulf coast on numerous occasions, and I must agree that its beaches are disappointing.
Come to think of it, that's where we went for our ninth grade class trip. They told us we were going to the beach. They failed to mention it was Gulfport's beach. They also failed to mention we were going there just to pick up garbage!

I've been to one of the beaches in Gulfport, right under the approach to Runway 32 at GPT. The water was quite eery, but it was still decent (a lot better than the Atlantic Ocean in Boston). Anyway, next time I'm down there, I will make sure that I press on past Mobile to the Pensacola area to go to a real Gulf beach.
