Wow - I had a drive of this car today (my friend has just imported one from the US) and the blighter rocks!!!!! It's a 4.6 litre V8, and is a completely different type of drive to my R34 Skyline (less refined than the Skyline but a more old fashioned, raw drive). I love the feel of it - it's just evil!!! Anyone know how much these cost in the US - I'm thinking of importing one if it isn't too expensive.

I used to think the brain is the most fascinating part of my body. But, hey, who is telling me that?

Maybe I'm wrong, but couldn't the Camaro SS beat the Mach 1?

I thought the SS had lower HP but a faster 0-60 and quarter mile time.

The Mach 1 is between the GT and Cobra, the Cobra was a competitor to the Camaro SS.

I love Mustangs, I don't like the Mach 1. It was a lot of hype. I don't think it looks too good, and I have heard its not all that it's cracked up to be while driving it.

A Mustang Cobra will set you back somewhere in the low 30s US. And from what I keep on reading about it, despite the fact it rides on the late 70s vintage Fox platform the damn thing is a very competant handler and the blown V8 can embarrass non-Z06 Corvettes. However for 2005, the new Mustang will be coming out and it promises to be very good. It will ride on a modified version of the chassis that underpins the Lincoln LS, Ford Thunderbird, and Jaguar S-Type. Should be impressive and quite the looker too.

Mustangs are great cars. I like the Fox platform and many great cars were build on it. My favorite newer models are the 1999 and 2000 models. For a performance car they are very comfortable and plesant to ride in.

"the Cobra was a competitor to the Camaro SS"

That's right, but it ended up getting hammered by LS1 Z28s, which are supposed to be competition to the GTs.  Smile

No, I'm not talking smack, I own a Z28.

I own a 1998 Ford Mustang. Not the newest ship in the fleet, but she sure is the best. Our fleet consists of a 1994 Mazda MPV, a 2000 Xterra, a 2003 Saturn ION, and my 1998 Ford Mustang. I love my pony.
