I dont see the point of circumsision. Afterall the foreskin on a penis is there to protect the head of the penis from any infections, seeing as its such a vital and sensitive part of the male anatomy. Why would you then go and expose this vital part to all the bacteria, dirt and filth that linger in the air. "Circumsison is cleaner" my ass..
If you're born with it then obviously there is a need for it.

Fact:"Wearing headphones, especially the ones that are inserted into the ear, decreases air circulation in the ear canal, and creates the perfect environment for breeding bacteria. Having headphones on for only 1 hour increases the amount of bacteria in your ear by over 1000 times.
Studies have shown that wearing headphones for more than 1 hour raises the level of bacteria in the ear canal to the pont that it is actually audible. You can actually hear the millions of tiny bacteria reproducing and eating away at the lining of your inner ear canal"
Go and cut your ear off seeing as the ear "contains so much bacteria".

Circumcised and UNproud of it. It's a sickening and barbaric procedure with no real benefit but instead a whole slew of disadvantages. To name a few:
-the procedure is terribly painful
-there is no longer any skin to provide the gliding motion a foreskin allows
-the glans is left uncovered and dries up and looses sensitivity as a result (It is a mucous membrane. If the inside of your nose, just one mucous membrane in your body, dries up, it bleeds. Obviously mucous membranes shouldn't be exposed.)
-a bad circumcision can end up in a severely damaged penis
-in rare cases, death occurs as a result of circumcision
-there are thousands of specialized cells in the foreskin that CANNOT ever be recovered; there is foreskin restoration, but sadly it can only make a replica of the foreskin, not a real 100% genuine model, but at least there's some hope
Those are just some of the disadvantages to choosing circumcision. Why face a child with those disadvantages and potential life threatening risks in the name of a cleaner or better looking, in the minds of some, penis? One can claim a circumcised penis is cleaner, but most uncircumcised penises are fine. Save the circumcision until there is a problem where that is the ONLY option.
As corny as this might sound, I feel like a part of me is missing and I want it back. I was circumcised with no anaesthesia and all though I don't remember it, it was still most certainly a grizzly thing to go through. My mom could apparently hear me screaming in pain from way down the hall. Although I suffered no severe damage to my penis or did not die (obviously!), I could of and was circumcised for the senseless reason of looking like my dad. Should a son's leg be amputated because your's is? Then why should his foreskin be amputed? I still lost an important part of my body. One can say that a circumcised penis is fully functional, but who are you trying to kid? The fact that it take lubricant just so you don't hurt yourself while having sex or masturbation does not speak to full functionality. If you are circumcised, your penis is handicapped. It needs outside help to function correctly. An uncircumcised penis does not need this.
It may seem strange a boy that's 15, almost 16, seems to feel so passionately about this. Four out of six of my closest male friends are uncircumcised though and they're all horny as anything, so I've heard about the wonders of an uncircumcised penis. I got thinking and the more I thought, the more I realized that I had been robbed of something amazing. That's why I feel like I do, as weird as everything in this post might sound. Thanks for listening.

We settled a botched circumcision case for a 30 year old man last year. After reviewing the file (and I hate to admit--making many inappropriate jokes), there was a discussion among our group regarding the relative benefits/disadvantages. Most have been discussed before...or mentioned on here.
One thing that did strike me odd was that the three female lawyers in my group (in their mid/late 20's) said they would not even consider going down on a guy who wasn't circumsized. I challenged them on this...and apparently in some locales/cultures/whatever this is very common. In fact, they went on to say how 'gross looking ' an uncircumcised unit was.....
Being Jewish I didn't have the option....so snip, snip.
Oh...btw the guy actually got his dick fixed as well as a decent $$ settlement (and please do NOT tell me that this was a frivolous lawsuit).

OK, this isn't very PC, but I think those that feel abused, ripped off, mutilated, etc by being circumcised might have some reality issues. You have never known anything else, you only have other people telling you that you have been assaulted. How can you miss having a foreskin when you haven't the slightest idea of what it is like? As for the sensitivity issue, have you ever seen a product advertised that makes your penis more sensitive? "Come even earlier, guys!" How's that sound? On the other hand I have seen lots of creams to slow things down. Honestly it sounds to me like some people like to feel victimized and have someone to blame for their problems. Sorry if I've offended anyone, but that's how I feel as a circumcised male. BTW, my son isn't sliced, since I don't see any reason for it. But do I feel somehow cheated? Not in the least.

Well...there must be something to it...hospitals readily set up the appt after birth unless the parents specify otherwise. Of the four births in our dept within the last two years...all opted for circumcision...based on the medical advice of their doctors.
I did learn an interesting fact: Cancer of the penis--although rare--has only occurred in uncircumcised individuals. Might be reason enough to do it!
Airplanetire: You have some serious issues or are absolutely obsessed with your dick. Relax..it's just a penis.

I'll say this much...we should all be uncircumcised. We were born with foreskin on our penises so it should damn well stay there. I'm circumcised though...and I can't say that I'm not necessarily happy that I am. I like the looks of my penis better than that of an uncircumcised....which is probably only because I'm used to the look of mine...but nevertheless I'm biased.

buckfifty, great line!
" My girlfriend prefers the look of an un-circumsized penis..
Plus we were born with it. I almost fell off my chair when I read that TOO quick! I read it as "we were both born with it."
having said that, I'm missing the skin and really don't care about it. It's nice to know that some of me can contribute to stem cell research.
That I am marrying interfaith with a Jewish woman puts me at ease with the whole BRIS thing. While I really had no thought on if I were to have a son and what would be done, I was initally a little freaked to hear about this ceremont called a BRIS.
Then I saw Comedian Howie Mandel his son;s bris as: " We as Jews have this thing called a bris. We say COME on over!! We're having CAKE, we're having COFFEE, were slicing my son's dick!"
Once you hear it that way, it's all put into perspective.

interesting topic, boys. i won't even pretend to know much about it! i've only seen circumsized, but i don't think i would think an uncircumsized one to be undesirable or anything like that. hmm. i don't know what else to say, so i'll end.

Avt007, I can't speak for everyone that feels like I do, but I'll speak for myself. I was never fed any information about all of the advantages of not being circumcised and the disadvantages of being circumcised. I did research way after I started to feel like I was missing something and wanted it back. Now, about the reality problem. Perhaps you are correct, but let me ask you a question. If you had your thumb cut off when you were a few days old, so never knew what it was like to have one, wouldn't you feel like you were missing something or that you were ripped off? You would probably want to have a thumb. Without it you couldn't really write very easily, nor could you pick a lot of things up. You'd still have a hand and four fingers, but that hand would be handicapped. It could never work as well as it could with all fingers. It's a similar thing in my mind. A thumb, as a foreskin is, is there for a purpose and makes the body part that they are there for work like they are supposed to. Don't worry, I've read some things that angry circumcised peopel have written on anti-circumcision websites that are just plain scary. They want to kill their circumcisers. I'm not emotionally scarred from being circumcised. I am angry at no one, but rather feel that I am in a less than ideal position and would like to do something about it. I just want to empower myself. Is that so much to ask?

I could care less what I have, as long as the women I am with are happy then I am happy. I have never had any problems in that department. I had my wang circumcized when I was a few days or day old.
