I'm in London and I'm wondering if there are any motor racing circuits nearby, and if so, what's on this weekend? Any help would be great guys! BTW went to Duxford today to the air museum , well worth the trip, a great collection of aircraft.

Brands Hatch is one of the closest to London, just to the south east of the city in Kent. Had a look on the Octagon Motor Sports website (the circuit owners) and there is an event on this Saturday and Sunday, but I couldn't work out what it was. Still, you might get more info from a search.

Biggest meeting this weekend is the British Formula 3 round at Thruxton. It is a pig of a place to get to by public transport ( train from Waterloo to Andover and then get a cab to the circuit) but easy to get to by car, about 1 1/2 hrs from London. It is not very well developed but it is the fastest circuit in the country.

the meeting at Brands Hatch is what we call a "clubbie" that is to say ordinary guys racing basic cars. However the racing is usually good and Brands is a good venue to watch motor racing at.
