Well his touring band is certainly wonderful enough. He used to have a guy that looked like Moses playing base named Leland Sklar, and then Chester Thompson on drums, and while the others were certainly competent enough, they were not the quality of the others...
Lots of good song by him, although he isnt my current listening, I do have a lot of live shows of him

He is one of those guys who has a bunch of great songs that should only be listened to in controlled doses.
Too much constantly can get old, but once in a while it is just the right song at the right time to be listening too.
OBAMA-WORST PRESIDENT EVER....Even SKOORB would be better.

I agree. Phils music, administered in small doses can be quite pleasant. But not for too long. Anyway, some of my favorites (along with his Genesis songs are:
Do You Remember?
Turn It On
We Said Hello, Goodbye
Inside Out
One More Night
Home By The Sea/Second Home By The Sea
Taking It All Too Hard

Genesis was fine up until Abacab or so (1980), but most songs after that were far too "poppy". All his solo records start in me violent gagging reflexes.
One thing I can't stand about him - he is so much in love with his own face that practically every album cover subjects us with a huge mug shot of him.

Hopefully I don't get lynched for this, but this guy is imho the Dieter Bohlen of international pop music, all members from Germany and Austria probably do know exactly what I mean.

I'm quite a big fan, actually.
I have all of his solo albums, and I also have the entire Genesis catalog in my CD collection as well.
Can't say I listen to him every day but if I'm in the right mood one of his CDs finds it's way into my CD player.
Also got two LP's from him as well.
Of course it does help that I've spoken to him directly before, that helps me to remain a loyal fan.

Just to clarify though, about him having his face on the albums:
I can truly say that Phil is the furthest thing from arrogant. If you've ever met him in person you'll find that he's really a down-to-earth kinda guy, and he likes to think of himself that way.
He adores his fans, that's for sure, but he doesn't let that inflate his ego. He really is a nice guy.
As for the musicians in his backup group, Leland Sklar was indeed the "moses" bassist you speak of. And we also have to mention the very talented Daryl Steurmor on guitar. (He also worked with Genesis).
Anyway, just wanted to put my two cents in in case anyone ever thought Phil had an inflated ego. He's very far from it and acts just like a regular guy.
