Filled up at $1.42/gal today at a Wal-Mart in Dallas. If I had used a Wal-Mart Shopping Card, I could have knocked 3 cents a gallon off that.

$0.69 per Litre at my local Canadian Tire. We have a 3.5 Litre Intrepid, so from empty it usually costs around 50 or so dollars.

Today at the pumps is was 78.5 cents a liter CAD or 87 octane, which is about $2.14 a gallon US. This is high because of the blackout and not all refineries are back on line. Yesterday the price for regular was 68.5 cents a liter or $1.87 a gallon US

I can only thank God I don't live in Phoenix today. There was a report on KJZZ tonight that a certain station was charging $3.47 per gallon. I'd take a bus, if it were possible, if I lived in Phoenix.

I just paid $1.56 tonight though. That'll get me through the next 10 days, then we'll see.

I don't even know, around $1.40. I can fill my car up for $15-20, and that gets me 200-300 miles. Oh, the joys of NOT driving a stupid poser SUV.

I drove down to North Carolina from New Jersey on Friday with my car and brought my dad's F350 back up. Long story short: $22 on gas going down, $135 in gas coming up.  Angry

Actually, it might be kind of nice to have a gas guzzler car - it would give me a reason to fly more, considering that would definetly be cheaper!

Shawn, you do of course mean the Californians that show up in flash flood ares with vehicles 16 inches off the ground? Those that when there is 8 inches of water in the wash stop and look at it while the 1972 Datsun B210 whizzes through?

What a bunch of useless idiots thay are. Get the beast dirt, dented and trashed. That's what a 4WD is for you blasted city folk. Otherwise leave my hill and go back to Los Angeles or Denver. At least get over being a panty waist fool with the courage of Barney Fife.

Yea, they piss me off. Damnable pansy city boys.

Yes, those would be the ones. But the soccermom breed is also amusing. They don't call them Suburbans for no reason - they're just glorified minivans build for the suburban masses, not SUVs. I fail to see the "sport" in half of those types of vehicles and I really fail to see the "sport" in the people who drive them, and they way they're driven (as you said, they avoid puddles!?!)

Just because mommy and daddy didnt get you an SUV doesnt mean you have to be bitter about it. Dont try to play it off as, "Oh, I dont want one." If you didnt want one, you wouldnt be whining about them incessantly. Why dont you bitch at the guy who owns the '78 Chevy P.O.S. (with vinyl interior)? His car will pollute far more than an SUV.

I filled up with 93 today at a Shell for $1.79 a gallon.

i filled up my passat tdi yesterday at a elf station (buy french!) in berlin koepenick @ 0.84 euro per liter of diesel fuel. this makes 3.18 euro per us gallon, resulting in appr. 3.50 us-dollar per gallon.

a liter of top quality fuel (i.e. 100 octane destilled by shell) is about 1.18 euro per liter.

btw. what type of engine can be fuelled by 87 octane gas? must have a really low compression...

Last time I filled up, I filled up at 27 cents per gallon for 91 Premium here in CO. But of course, that was a one night screwup on the part of the Safeway crew. I filled up and so did about 20 of my friends! Made my day, that's for sure.

Guys,

Last time I filled up it was 0.87 AUD per litre here in Sydney for Premium Unleaded (95 octane). (I get the purple stuff from Mobil.)

$3.82 AUD per gallon. So at a rough guess $2.30 USD per gallon.

$40.00 AUD approx to fill the mx5's tank and I get 400 to 500 km/s out of that depending how I drive. So a tank lasts me more than a month usually.

On a comparative note it costs me the following to travel to work:

$20.00 Weekly train ticket which allows me unlimited use from Sector 2 (Marrickville / Stanmore) to any of the city stations for a week. 12 minutes - 5 station trip to the city (including subway stations).

Driving would cost me $80.00 AUD in parking alone + around a 30 minute trip to the car park from my home.

So the train is the way to go. Even though I am in the inner city - there is always still seats on the train when it gets to my stop.

Cheers,

MJE
