I've been in some yoga classes before, and some meditation classes. I find it extremely relaxing. But these were about a year ago and I've forgotten some of the techniques. Can anyone fill me in on what they do?

It all really depends on why you are meditating. I meditate for my spirit. What I do is calm my personal world, light a candle, close my eyes and just drift. Sometimes music helps too. It sounds strange, but Robert Miles '23AM' is good for me. Try Enya too.

Basically, I'm trying to get rid of anxiety, or at least a little bit of it. Unfortunately I have a severe anxiety disorder and my therapist would like me to try meditation as a way to relax. I want to have my thoughts slow down.
