2:1...the boygroup did it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And what a fantastic game it was...Stuttgart in control during the whole 90 or rather 94 minutes, brilliant defense work as usual, a penalty that was laugh, and fortunately without consequences!

I JUST LOVE THAT GANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry if this is of no interest for you, but it is for me, Stuttgart has been my team since nearly 30 years, and this is one the best moments during this whole period of time!!!

Have a good night everybody, I certainly will Big grin Big grin Big grin Big grin Big grin

I also enjoyed it greatly. Seeing United beaten is always good for the soul.

Not that I'm a remotely biased Manchester City fan you understand,  Big grin

Oh, I forgot to mention, amusing as it was, it wasn't nearly as funny as watching multi-squillionaire Chelski's of Chelsea put in a truly inept performance in losing at home to Besiktas. Big grin

I could watch both games as over here Sky have got this really cool multichannel option where you could watch any of the 8 games that you wanted to via digital.

The penalty that Utd got was one that any attacking side would have wanted to be given (especially when seen from behind the goal). But they deserved absolutely nothing tonight; extremely poor in defence- perhaps a mistake in bringing back Silvestre immediately and Ronaldo should have been replaced by Fortune a lot earlier.

Still...it's an interesting group:

Rangers 4 pts
Stuttgart 3 pts
Man Utd 3 pts
Panathinaikos 1 pt.

Whoever gets the most points in the Rangers v Utd games will probably qualify with Stuttgart.

David (with not quite with the choice of game Banco has...we're on NTL!)

Ah, but this is just a single off-night, not just an off-season as in Arsenal's case. What did you make of your 0-0 yesterday? I think they've now piled on heaps of pressure on themselves as they need to win 3 out of the last 4 games, with dodgy European home form, it doesn't look too clever.

You must be regretting that choice, David.

Actually, if you van get round to a friend's house you have to take a look at the Sky package for the Champs League. A world first apparently, being able to watch all of the games on one channel. For those that don't know about it, a screen comes up divided into eight, and you then choose which match to watch and it comes up full screen.

Oh, and by the way, David, I thought the penalty was more than a wee bit generous.

I expect the Scots will be on here soon crowing about how much better than the English they are doing.

Yesterday's 0-0 Moscow mission was disappointing, desperately need to win against Kiev. But knowing our seriously lacklustre european form, dont hold your breath. For United, it's a blip, they'll demolish their next opponents.

Man United's defence was shocking, although the first Stuttgart goal was very well finished. The Man Utd penalty was a joke also. I still think United will win the group though.

Chelsea were shocking though - Ranieri is a bit 'erratic' shall we say with his tactics. I can't actually see them getting through either, they looked hopeless and Veron and Terry are a complete joke. Ironically, the 2 best Chelsea players (Mutu and Crespo) were substituted at half time. Hmmmm. You've got a month Mr Ranieri.....

Maybe not demolish, but their next opponents will feel the wrath in one or another.

I predict a draw at Ibrox and a Man Utd win at Old Trafford. And as Man Utd will beat both Stuttgart Home and Panathinaikos away I still think Man Utd and Rangers will go through. Shame Rangers couldn't hold on last night though.
