This is more crazy than going in a glass box for 44 days  Nuts

http://www.guardian.co.uk/arts/news/story/0,11711,1056272,00.html

The game will be shown from 9pm in Britain, as well as in Holland and Australia, with a short time delay, so producers can blank the screen 'if something goes wrong'.

http://www.channel4.com/entertainment/tv/microsites/D/derren_brown/index.html

On 5 October at 9pm, Derren Brown will attempt not to shoot himself in the head,
live on Channel 4.

Filmed in a secret location, one person selected from the thousands who applied will load a real handgun with one bullet and then hand it to Derren. Using a series of psychological tests, Derren will then determine which chamber contains the bullet, put the gun to his head, and fire until he comes to the live chamber.

This should be good. Hope nothing does go wrong.. his other programmes are brilliant  Big thumbs up

Who's going to be watching?

Josh

Darwinism at it's best. This is totally idiotic. What the next reality TV shows are going to be like is the really scary thought. Producers wont stop at nothing to get ratings.

How can this idiot blow his brains out, when he obviously didn't get a brain to begin with?

Guess I've been in a vacuum lately, but is this Brown guy some sort of a European entertainer? I don't think I've heard of him before. Not that I'm pro-more-laws, but wouldn't there be some kind of regulation that that would prohibit this as a staged, planned "event"? ...jack

Well he didn't die Laugh out loud

He isn't an idiot/fool etc., you obviously haven't seen his shows - this is the first dangerous thing he's done.

He's spent years studying psychology and practising it, and he proved that he's very clever last night yet again. It's hard to explain.. he's just a very clever man. Big thumbs up

I found that quite amusing, I don't think any mindreading techniques really apply here!!!  Laugh out loud

He picks up any clues in their voice.. he put it to his head twice but then he shot at the sandbag because he thought it had the bullet in... but it didn't. So that threw him! Then there was just silence for a couple of minutes while he thought....

Did you watch it EGGD? Big thumbs up

I heard some do-gooder fool on the radio saying how irresponsible this was because "young people" might decide to copy him and kill themselves. Well, if anyone is stupid enough to do so, they deserve to die. Second (in the UK at least), guns are not exactly lying around for anyone to pick up and third, what kind of person needs to be told that russian roulette is not the best of ideas if you want to draw on your pension?

Unbelievable.

One of the best TV programmes I have seen this year, he is truly an amazing man. Even the build up to how he eliminated the 100 contestants was compelling TV. The final five minutes were unbearable to watch and I had to hide behind a pillow! Just shows how the Brits can do it so much better than the Americans.

--The American bit is to do with Derren being better than David Blaine...

The way he eliminated the first 95 people was great. It's got to be one of the best TV moments this year Big thumbs up
