With an well-deserved 3:0 victory over Iceland, Germany has qualified for the 2004 European Cup in Portugal. Thanks to Germany not taking it easy against Iceland, McBerti's Scotland will get a 2nd chance in the relegation round.
And Congratulations to our southern Neighbour: Switzerland made it to Portugal, too! As hosts of the 2008 European Cup, they now showed that they deserve to host such a tournament. And finally Austria was hown who is the worst of the 3 German-speaking countries when it comes to football

Well, I´m glad that Rudi´s guys made it to Portugal but they definitely have to improve until the tournament starts (remember the opponent yesterday was Iceland).
And congratulations to Switzerland who must have played a great qualification considering they left Russia behind ...and I agree, a SUI-GER match would be interesting.
Congratulations also go to England (yes, I´m serious) but I heard there was something weird about that penalty by Mr Beckham...
Another surprise is that the spanish team (which has the biggest potential in Europe in my opinion) has not yet qualified

We qualified too, though I find it very unjust. We should, if things had been done good enough, only have made it to the playoffs?
Reason?
In the last game, home against Romania, we played 2-2. Both of Romanias goals were a-ok. However, our first goal was due to a penalty that wouldn't have been awarded anywhere else. And the second fell 4 minutes into overtime (despite the referee only giving 3 minutes of overtime).

What about Liechtenstein ??????

We made two bad matches in June (tie to N. Ireland, lose to Greece at home) when players were tired at the end of the season, and more worried about the end of the League. Anyway we are pissed off, Spain's qualifying group was quite easy and we should not be yet waiting for the extra round.

That draw with Northern Ireland was seriously embarassing, Krushny. Especially since they haven't scored in 20 hours of football, so it isn't like you needed a defence!

Funny how some Brits start making jokes on other teams, just because your team managed a draw in Turkey In Portugal, you guys'll wish YOU had a defence, let alone a goalkeeper...maybe you should ask German national keeper Silke Rottenberg to accept british citizenship, then perform a sex-change OP on her...that would still be much better than your male born keepers

Apparently the chances of all the strong teams being drawn apart in the playoffs were about 2 in 5, the BBC phoned up a mathematician because it looked at first sight a wee bit dodgy.
Nasty one for the Scots, no doubt. Pick of the ties looks like Norway-Spain.
