Alex Zanardi, who lost both legs in a terrible CART accident 2 years ago and just barely survived, returned to professional racing today. He raced in a BMW 3er in the European Touring Car Championship (ETCC) and, after being involved in a start crash in the first race (not his fault), scoring 2 points after finishing on the 7th position.

My biggest respect for him.

Amazing!

He was able to finish the race he crashed this year, he drove a specially modified Champ car the last laps of the race.
