This is a story that has to be told.
First of all, I consider myself a very "street smart" person. I've been to New York City more times than I can count.
Hows this for interesting? It was about 2AM, Sunday morning, in New York City, my cousin and his friends decide that after we hit up the strip club (it was his bachelor party) we'd head to an Irish bar by his apartment. I split, realizing I need to first make a stop at Kinkos to make sure that some of my lab partners completed an internet project that was due later that day. So I'm out of cash for obvious reasons, and I'm standing at the corner of 42nd and 6th waiting for a cab to come by that takes credit cards (very few do, but the ones that do have credit card logos on the side of their car). Anyway, I'm standing at the corner for about 20 minutes with no luck and I'm getting a bit cold. A Blazer pulls up and a girl, decent looking (didnt look too skanky) probably in her early 20s, rolls down the window and asks if I need a ride. Being the naive person I am, I take her up on the offer, figuring if she is going to rob me, I can just jump out of the car relatively safely considering we're in the middle of NYC. So we drive a several blocks, and she asks where I'm from, what I'm doing in New York, etc. Out of nowhere, she asks.... "So do you want to have sex....or get a blowjob, or something else." I'm not too shocked, I knew that there had to be a catch for the free ride. I politely decline, at the same time realizing my utter stupidity for taking this ride with a stranger. Anyway, she's cool about it, we talk about Dallas, and she drives me up to the Kinkos on 79th and Lex, kisses me on the cheek and lets me out of the car. Should I get my cheek checked for STDs? Oh well, beats the hell out of a $10 cab ride.

Actually, if my memory serves me correctly, I was on either 50th or 51st and not 42nd. IMO, dont look like the kind of person that has to pay for sex--and I really dont have to. I can get all the free sex I want. I was dressed pretty nicely as well...khakis, button down shirt, and a black fleece vest. I wasnt too drunk either.
Yes, she was driving the Blazer...and she was the only one in the car. If there was a guy in the car, I definitely wouldnt have taken the ride.

I LIVE in Manhattan, and I would NEVER get into a stranger's SUV, I don't care if the hottest guy in the universe is driving it.
I was literally right in the center of Manhattan. I figured that if she wanted to do anything to me--rob me or whatever, I could easily get out of the car. Besides, she looked to be 22, dressed very nicely (not in stereotypical hooker style), and didnt look like the kind of person that would pull anything too nefarious. It wasnt the brightest move, but I got away with it. I wasnt too drunk either because of the huge dinner we had eaten a few hours before at Cite (nice place, my food was surprisingly average though).
Yes, Sean you're right. I would have had to initiate the conversation in order for me to be soliciting a prosititute.
So how high did you hold the "I'm a virgin" sign Josh?
I could say something about Melissa that is so wrong on all accounts, but I'll refrain.

She asked him if he wanted a ride... he doesn't indicate what his exact verbal response was. If it could have been interpreted as sexually suggestive, then her later "clarification" could have been legal.
