Now, the "hype" means something, as LeBron James begins his NBA career. I'm tired of the hype, and just want to see how the kid can play.

And, so far, if you've been watching, you've got to be impressed: 12 points in the first quarter, 2 or 3 assists, and one huge slam dunk from the kid from Akron.

Not bad with a hundred TV cameras in his face before the game.  Big thumbs up

Alpha 1. How much do you make as a member of LeBron's hype team?  Big grin

I was just an interested observer, KROC. I'm not going to hype the kid-he can do that on his own. I'm not a huge NBA fan anymore-used to be-but intrigue got the better of me last night, and after a 25-point, 9-assist, 4-steal, 7-rebound night, I think, at least for one night, the hype about him was justified.

Of course, you and I cold talk about the Red Sox putting Manny Ramirez on irrevocable waivers today if you like, KROC.  Smile

I'm just busting on you a bit anyway Alpha.

Like you I used to be a huge NBA fan. Now at best I have passing interest. I'm hoping that Melo and such can give some live back to the NBA.

And you know I would love to talk about ManRam's demise. lol

Pretty impressive there, LeBron, too bad it didn't translate into a win (kind of like Jordan in his early years).
