Here's an idea, let's keep teens, docs, and liars from driving. Soon there will be nothing but old folks on the road, and we all know how good they drive.
The meaning of life is curiosity; we were put on this planet to explore opportunities.

There was once a survey, where respondents were asked about their driving ability... a vast majority thought that they were above average - especially the men. Where did all the below-average drivers go?
I'm more realistic. I know I'm a bad driver, and accept it.

I still say the worst drivers on earth are:
1. people in Ford pickups so large they indicate less than average equipment below the waist. (may be some cases in chevy pickups but most jerks i have found on the road are in fords)
2. Soccer Moms on cell phones. (what is so damn important they cannot hang up and drive)
3. Teens, or early 20s that think their 88 honda civic just barely missed the cut for the fast and the furious. (save buying the stupid accessories and get a better car)

That's funny. Doctors & Lawyers typically make the worst pilots, too. After all, they're the ones who got the V-tail bonanza the nickname "the fork tailed doctor/lawyer killer".

Well, FlyVirgin744, I interpreted it as "lawyer = liar". I kindly invite you to check my profile to see why I don´t find this funny or clever at all. I don´t mind a witty lawyer-joke (never hurts to be able to laugh about oneself), but this was just too blunt.

727,
That reminds me... If they didn't make the Intrepid with a loud-ass horn, I probably would have found myself in a ditch yesterday. After I held down the horn for a good 30 seconds, she gave me a dirty look.

Soccor moms shouldn't be allowed to drive. Ive nearly been in an accident with 3 in the last month. All were talking on their cell phones and had a cup of coffee in their hands when they nearly plowed me and my little Civic down.

I do not consider myself a good driver. I drive since age 18, now age 60, and never had a car accident, nor minor "fender bender"... merely luck, I guess. Neither had a single moving traffic violation, I just pile up parking violations... Basically, I hate driving, and avoid driving cars. I do not like cars.

My wife owns a brand new "Cooper S" and is a "superior driver", hi-speed addict, age 34... she collects speeding violations, passing red lights (street decorations, as per her description) and always have a $20 bill ready with her driver's license, ready for the cop who will stop her...

I love speed, that is taking off with airplanes, or cruising at Mach .86...
Not in cars. For me, 10 kph over legal limit never got me in troubles. I am just an average (or maybe poor) driver. Keep your fancy and fast cars.

The Taxi Driver Association must have bribed Money mag to keep their drivers off the list. They are definitely some of the worst drivers on the road, and, to be honest, another group that I might include would be off-duty police.

"Students" is a pretty broad term...remember this survey is by occupation, not age...so students could be a 16 year old HS sophomore who just got their license, or a 25 year old 3rd year professional school student...whos been driving for nearly 10 years...

It's not that teens are bad drivers, generaly I think that when paying attention they have the best reflexes around. It just happens that most dont pay attention, have no fear, and when you get another kid in the car the driver will do ANYTHING! (light fire crackers while driving the car, try to max out the car's speed, pass on the left side of the road, with double yellows etc etc....)
...and I'm proud to say I'm one of these kids.

I'm not going to say that these are the worst drivers, but they scare me half to death. I'm talking about little old senior citizen ladies who must drive cars that are way, way too big for them...Town Cars, Cadillacs, Grand Marquis, Crown Victoria etc. Some of these little old ladies can barely see over the dash boards of these big battleships. They usually take their cars out of the garage (don't ask me how they back out) twice a week -- once for a visit to the grocery store and once for a visit to the doctor. Seeing them trying to turn into a parking space is scary.

Yeah, some off duty police officers are the worst. One of my friends dad is a cop, and he drives about 15 over the limit EVERYWHERE, and he gets pulled over quite a bit. All he does is flash the badge and he is off on his way without any ticket or warning.
