What happened to that guy after the US overthrew him? Where is he now? Why did the US invade Panama, anyway?

He's in federal prison, I think at Leavenworth.

We invaded Panama to get him, basically. He was causing too many problems. The official charges against him in U.S. court were for drug trafficking, which apparently was how he made money to stay in power in Panama. Never mind that we supported his dictatorship for years because we thought it was the better alternative to communism.

Uh, Superfly, get your history straight, OK? George H.W. is the one who got him out of power, remember? I don't think he has much love for the Bush's.

For once, it'd be nice if you got it right.

The U.S. military flushed Noriega out of his residence by blasting him 24/7 with loud rock music. This is a true story. I am not making it up.

I'm sorry, ma'am, I don't work for the airline.

They flushed him out of the Vatican embassy with loud music (he went there to seek refuge).

Old Pineapple Face is in prison in the states. At least after we overthrew him, the next U.S.-endorsed leader didn't turn out to be a real ass (like what happened in Chile with Allende/Pinochet).
