How does a Dem define minority and Female judge nominees who just happen to disagree with them politically?
"What has not ended is resolution and determination of members of the U.S. Senate to continue to resist any Neanderthal that is nominated by this president of the United States for any court," said Sen. Ted Kennedy, D-Mass.
So, "neanderthal", huh? Very "diplomatic" of you, Senator.
Of COURSE, we can all IMAGINE what you guys would have BAITED it had TRENT LOTT said that. After all, telling an aging Senator that "things would have been better had he been elected President" just HAD to be racist, riiiiight?
C'mon, Demlibrocritunists, let's hear the call for action against Teddy!
Of course, you never demanded anything offical from pointy head Byrd when he dropped the N-bomb on Fox News just a few years ago.
Oh, and of COURSE when a DEMLIBROCRITEUNIST who wants to be president says they support the Southerns with the Rebel Flags in their pickup trucks, it just COULDN'T be racist...even after ALL the DEBATE we heard DEMANDING AND DICTATING that Mississippi and South Carolina remove that emblem from their state flag and Capital building respectively...becuase it was just so, so racist!
Where was Jesse on THAT one, hmmmmm?
I hope all this hypocricy is sinking in with some of those on the fence out there, although we know the brainwashed ones wouldn't call a Dem bad no matter what he did.

Factual debate with you? Sorry, you're too good for the entertainment value, Galaxy 5. You're just spewing propoganda. And insults? What's that name you called anyone who votes democrat? Look in the mirror, friend.

The Republicans (see, Galaxy 5, I say it with proper respect, even though I don't agree with them-take notes here, OK?) are getting their britches in knots because SIX OUT OF 174 JUDGES HAVEN'T BEEN CONFIRMED!
SIX! And on that, you throw around your own insults. Tell me-and I'm not joking here-are you one of those people who believe that anyone who is a Democrat, or isn't a conservative Republican, is somehow a traitor, or not a real American? Or, was that word that no one can pronounce just a joke. Again, a straight answer would be welcomed, although I'm not holding my breath.

it is funny how the Republicans are shocked, SHOCKED, about how the Democrats are holding up six judges, out of 174. on all of then there are articulable reasons, not that I agree with them (Only one seems to have a good one) but they are articulable.
Out of spite, out of pique, or out of the refusal to allow Clinton-and I'm no Clinton lover as my posts will show-his opportunity to pick his judges, how many vacant seats were there? Even when *Republican* Supreme Court justice Rehnquist complained.
But of course in the vapid news cycle of TV and talk radio, there was no context, I didn't see one, not one news item mention that.
it may be petty, but payback is a bitch.
You also have the Republicans sort-of-but-not exactly accusing the Democrats of racism with smears and innuendos, what can be called subtle meme-launching (i.e. Orrin hatch asking David Pryor about his catholicism about 80 times. Never directly acusing but getting the meme out that perhaps that had something to do with it, after all , why else would Orrin be asking poor Pryor about it.) Yeah, Ted kennedy is anti-Catholic.
I would like to hear one rightie, just one say, OK We screwed Clinton out of that, now it's obvious that it is payback time.
I may be ugly. I may be an American. But don't call me an ugly American.
