Do any of you have pets?
Do you like animals?
I love cows, but only when my experience with them is in the form of a medium-rare filet mignon or Porterhouse, or 1/2 pound burger from Fuddruckers.

I agree with Trvlr, I was expecting something more from Matt D.

For the question, I would never have a pet. I find them just to be a lot of work and a pain to have around the house. I agree that animals are good to eat.

I hate cats, I have two (one lives inside, the other out) and the one inside pisses all over the place. I wouldnt mind taking him out for target practice and giving his corpse to the local Chinese fast-food restaurant.

I have two Burmese cats. If you aren't familiar, they have golden eyes, dark brown fur and a stocky build. The look somewhat like miniature panthers. We have a 7 1/2 year old male, and a female of about 2 1/2.

They are very people-oriented for cats, and they also get along reasonably well together. Of course, they fight all just as much as any cats do, but Timothy doesn't let being done stop him from trying to get it on!
 Love

I hate dogs, and do not particularly like cats. Nice to look at from afar but I don't want them anywhere near myself.

I was always interest how they taste... Hmmm, is there any restaurant in London selling dog meat? I'd love to give it a try? Big grin

I used to have 2 gold fish. One called Barnesy and one called Farnsey. (You'd have to be an Aussie to appreciate that one.)

I have a 15YO dog, and last August lost her 13 1/2 YO mate. I have also had a Burmese cat. Lovely. I would like one day, a Tonkinese. A cross between a Siamese and a Burmese, but a breed in it's own right.

When I move onto acerage I want a jersey cow, a horse, and some ducks. (Used to have a couple of ducks.)

Sophie, I love maltese. But, the time is not right for one in my life right now.

Some days, give me an animal over a human, anytime.

I've got a twelve year old cross breed border-collie/labrador called Megan.

I also have a goldfish called Shell, named after a character in British drama "Bad Girls" she used to have a mate called Denny, but she died, I think I boiled her.

How did the goldfish taste? Why did you boil it? Not much meat for a good snack, in my opinion. But everyone to their own....

PS: Next time try it as Sushi (without boiling) - I myself don't eat raw stuff but my friends advise me it tastes brilliant Big grin

I know I'm going to get crucified for this, but here goes:

I have a cat. I named him Shadow because 1. he has black fur and 2. he follows me around just like a shadow.

I found him in the parking lot of a McDonalds. He was just a kitten, and obviously abandoned by his owners. He looked disheveled and hungry and afraid.
I called out to him, and after some hesitation, he came over to me. I took him home where I bathed and fed him.
Since then, I've given him all his shots and had him "fixed". Since then, I've fed him twice a day. He has since grown up into a beautiful cat that has the shiniest, glossiest black coat of fur I've ever seen. He is playful, and affectionate, and my alarm clock in the morning. He has the best disposition and temperament of just about any cat I've ever seen. He is house broken (I didn't even have to train him), and lets me know that he has to go "potty" by running over to the door and pacing back and forth.

Now I am aware of the implications of this and my position of treating people like this....so if you are going to hang me, please make it swift.

25 Ikarus : Hmm. Your cat must be a liberal. After all, he expects love, attention and food without giving anything in return. Swift enough?

27 Post contains images KROC : No crucifying here Matt D. I have two cats that are spoiled rotten, so I'm in a similar boat. G Dubya...LMAO

30 Post contains images Ikarus : Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the cat-desexing ceremony. On the left side, we have specimen A: A male kitten. On the right side, we have specimen B
31 Windsong : Are you people from another planet? I think maybe so. My male cat was desexed under a full anaesthetic at the vet. What the fu*k ever.
32 Lewis : I have a dog from Russia, a Caucasian. It is very big with rich grey to gold fur.
33 Post contains images Ikarus : Well, maybe you didn't get that I was trying to be funny - maybe I failed But I still think that desexing a cat just because you don't like their smel
