We recently got Quizno's and everyone was excited but were let down because I guess it does not taste as good as down south and the service is not as good. I have not been there though as nobody I know likes it.

Schlotzkis!!!! I know they are not subs, per se, but they are yummy! The closest one to me is 25 miles, but it is worth it! http://www.cooldeli.com I like Quiznos too. There is a sign for Hogi Yogi at a gas station near Space Needle in Seattle but they took out the restaurant. Blimpies has too much grease and Subway is becoming a bit like Starbucks and hookers: one on every corner....

My favorite is a local shop with two outlets, Home Run Heroes. Most of its subs and wraps are named after baseball greats (the "Mick," the "Hank," the "Babe," etc.) and both outlets are filled with baseball memorabilia. Almost all of its subs are really good.

Hogi Yogi is ok... nothing great about that place.
And I hate to do this, but I never saw what was so great about Egee's. This is coming from someone who spent his formative years in Phoenix and Tucson mind you.
Subway plain sucks. If they had decent bread than it would be acceptable. But the bread there just ruins it for me.
If you like Italian Beef I suggest you go to Luke's on Ft. Lowell and Stone in Tucson... the stuff is to die for.
And there is a place on Rt. 7 in Falls Church, VA called Jerry's that does a decent cheesesteak.
Again it is all in the quality of the bread for me.
