This is a peeve of mine, even if it really is a petty one.

Why do so many people (All over the USA) refuse to turn off their turn signals?
Do some people feel the need to fake people out? I mean, I can see it faking other drivers out, if they are on your average city streets, but, on a freeway? Where you gonna turn at punk?

Is it laziness?

Are they just not paying attention?

Do they really not know where they are going to turn?

I mean, come on. Have some consideration for other people on the road. This type of thing is not funny one bit.

I personally dont think these people need to be behind the wheel.

Your thoughts?

It bugs me when people drive down the road with their hazards flashing.

Interesting post..actually I agree..I think most drivers shouldn't be behind the wheel, I think drivers forget how they got their licence in the first place. Everyone is driving along in their own little world with little regards for other drivers..Everyday I see loads of bad behaviour on the roads, I am always surprised their is not more road rage!

As bad as it gets I always remember driving in South America and Southern Europe, when compared to those areas we here in North America really aren't that bad.

serenity now!

cheers.

Because before I bought my Caddy, apparently a thief busted the steering column so it doesn't click back automatically. I usually hold it until I'm done with the turn though.

thank goodness for TCAS !

Maiznblu; Gotta recognize that only do not people don't turn off their turn signals around here, but they usually don't even signal a turn to begin with. Many new cars actually have a little "chime" that advises the shithead driving that he/she forgot to turn off the turn signal after several seconds after actuation but a non-cancelling steering wheel input. Yet another device to encourage more carnage through stupidity.

I often advise my wife that she should listen to my bitching gleefully; if we were driving in a country that actually had substantive driver education and enforced laws (like Germany...can you imagine fucking around on the ABahn inthe high-speed lane without checking your rearview mirror every several seconds?) her ass would be dead at worst and being written for dollars large for being a driving asshole at best. Lead, follow, get the hell out of the way, or, use the design-intent of friggen' machinery. Regards...Jack

if you are a driver you will know that you need to take care of a lot of things while you are driving, especially on a busy road. It's not surprise for a driver to forgotten something which is relatively unimportant.

"It's not a surprise for a driver to forget something which is relatively unimportant." A particular and verified reason why there are so many accidents with so much loss of property value and human life. "It's not important" to signal your intentions as to which way you are going to direct several thousand pounds of mass in an unexpected direction? Are you folks in Australia as goofy as the lame-brains here in my country? Good grief....Jack

something that doesnt happen over here very often. i actually havent witnessed such a case since a few years. i would also not understand how someone can forget that since you get aural and vocal indication of the turn signal being active.

I am damn glad you are not a driver in the USA. What the frick deserves more priority than driving the car?

Talking on a cell phone?

How about watching airplanes?

Maybe putting on lipstick?

Wanking?

Sleeping?

Many people disregard the fact that a car can be a deadly weapon. It needs to be treated as such.
