I theorize that there is a relationship between the beauty of a partner and the quality of the sex in that the greater deviation from "average" the worse the sex.
This graph shows the reasoning.
So q(s), the quality of the Sex rises as PQ rises, until it reaches the top of the graph (the average looking gal) Then it has a slow inexorable fall back down as she gets hotter and hotter.
This is because of:
I think that if you are not attracted to your lover the sex will be bad.
If your lover is incredibly hot, unless you are too, she will experience the feelings that you had in scenarion 1.
If she is just OK, then its good, and you will both try harder.
I've tried out my hypothesis on men both gay and straight and asked them to plot their lovers on this graph and they come close to this U-shaped curve.
So is a Nobel in my future?

Csavel, your theory looks good on the surface, but there are some holes in it.
For one thing, the more attractive a woman (and, to a lesser extent, a man) is, the more poeple fawn over her and work really hard to make her life easier because of her sex appeal. Thus, really attractive women become accustomed to using their attentions, and sex in particular, as a tool to get what they want. Sex with these women becomes clinical and passionless, as they are more interested in the end result than the act. Also they can choose when and where, and with whom, so it's boring for them. Even if you make over $100,000 a year.

It's all relative I guess. When I was younger I tried to buy into that theory and ended up just always feeling cheated all the time.
