It seems odd to me that we have not heard anything regarding the incedents earlier in the year about North Korea's operational nuclear warheads. Washington confirmed two exist. Why is nothing concerning North Korea's nuclear program worth our attention for what seems like...so suddenly quiet?
The meaning of life is curiosity; we were put on this planet to explore opportunities.

NK recently offered to pause (but not rewind) the nuclear programme, in return for being taken off a blacklist and getting some fuel aid. I gather this compromise was acceptable to the Chinese government, but not to the Bush administration.
However, nothing newsworthy is happening. NBC production & development continues, various committees and conferences argue over trivial details, little is resolved, and there's no footage of starving NK orphans, or their heroic liberators.
The North Koreans rejected a US proposal actually and are insisting on their own. The US wants them to completely dismantle their program so they are in compliance with the 1994 agreement. The North has offered to only freeze their program. Agreeing to their terms would essentially reward them for breaking the treaty in the first place. I think the Bush Administration is playing this right.
