I started reading Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code" a few days ago (about 70 pgs in now), and I just found out about the prequel ("Angels and Demons"). Was wondering if anyone has read both of these books, and if you think I should stop reading Da Vinci code and read the prequel first. I haven't felt lost at all while reading Da Vinci code, but I wonder if I should still read "Angels and Demons" first.

Im sorta through angels and demons and finnishbed the da vinci code earlier, and its better to read angels and demons first. It explains some things in the da vinci code. BTW,i think for a harvard graduate/proffessor,id think he could have bought a better watch...

I just read Da Vinci Code last week, and could hardly put it down--I finished it within two days, just reading on the subway to/from work and at home in the evening. Incredible book...best I've read in a while.
So, my answer is no, you shouldn't stop reading Da Vinci Code halfway through, because I don't think it's physically possible to do that.
But seriously, I can't really answer the original question yet, but I have already ordered Angels and Demons, so I should have an answer pretty soon!

Read the DaVinci Code, don't worry about Angels and Demons for now, you can go back and read that later. There might be SOME things in Angels that help w/ Davinci Code, but it is nothing like the Harry Potter Series where you would have HAD to have read the books before to understand what is going on.

read the last 300 pgs of Da Vinci Code yesterday...took me damn near all day too heh. amazing book, and alot of seriously eye opening facts. ill probably start on Angels and Demons in a few days, itd be a good read if it were even half as good as The Da Vinci Code. Hope theres more to come in the Robert Langdon series...

yea dan brown includes some real interesting facts in his books, like in angels and demons he tells the origins of the great seal(the pyrimd on the back of the $1 with the enlightened delta on top).btw before u start it,try to brush up your vatican/satanic cult facts. The book takes place almost dentirely in rome and the vatican.I started reading angels/demons RIGHT AFTER i got back from rome/vatican.I read it on the damn plane back to IAD!and there is even a map of the vatican in the front!i was so stupid,i should have read it before!infact i bought it at a bookstore in IAD before leaving the last flight out of IAD that day.I was soooooo stupid.I know dan brown is going to make a book soon taking place in DC
