Do you have DSTV in your home and how many channels are you able to receive? Our subscription satellite service in South Africa is called Multichoice Africa and we are currently able to watch more than 50 channels. Some of my favourite channels are Discovery, the Travel Channel, National Geographic, Animal Planet, Reality TV, BBC Prime and Hallmark.

I too have Sky Digital..
Excellent service.. We have the full package.. so that's general entertainment, movies, sport, music, news & documentaries, kids channels.. everything! ...I would guess there are about 500-600 channels... Including all the Digital radio channels.. (Oh and there's a pay per view system to.. called BOX OFFICE which allows you to watch one off sport events or new movies)

I believe the figure is now at around 60% of UK homes now have digital TV, whether it's Sky, NTL, Telewest or Freeview. Still going up too, so the government's plan to turn off the terrestrial signal by 2010 is on target - then they can flog the frequencies to the mobile phone companies and rake in a load more dosh.
