Whats the fastest speed you ever been in a car with a small engine, say 1.5 litre or less ??

For me :-

Fiat Panda / 1.0 / 110mph downhill

Rover 214i / 1.4i / 134mph downhill

Renault Clio / 1.2 / 102mph on flat


So whats yours ??

It was powed by a 2.3 liter 4cylinder engine rated at only 82HP.


1980 Volkswagen Dasher diesel stationwagon. I took it up to 95MPH.
1.5 liter diesel rated at only 62HP.

I have a 1984 Ford Fiesta 0.975L which I can push to 100mph for a few seconds on a downhill stretch of the M25 when Im driving to STN. I have totalled 3 head gaskets so far and it costs a fortune to rebuild the engine every time I do it.
