I'll probably wash an extra load of his dirty socks and boxer shorts for him. I already told him I want some Sour Patch Kids.

Taking her to Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC for a tour and a wine tasting, flowers, and cooking her dinner on Friday night.

Sounds like an interesting and romantic idea. I've been to Biltmore Estate twice, and I'll have to say its nothing short of brilliant. You and your g/f should love it! Nice idea.

I got some shit planned for my girl, but I refuse to tell what it is, because it will reduce the 'aa61hvy' character as we know it.. But lets just say I am damn good...

Let the AA61hvy onslaught begin...

Nothing. Well, maybe a card, and some lovin'. He didn't try to make dinner reservations until tonight, and guess what? It's all full! So we'll go out next weekend instead. It's not a big deal anyway.

Well, my wife and I have been apart for six weeks now, while I'm working in Qatar. She's flying out for a week during the college break (no, no, she's a teacher, not a student!) She arrives on Feb 14th, but I don't think I'll need to seduce her with flowers or chocolates or a fancy meal out.  Love

Its amazing how we all know that Valentines is this grossly Commercial "holiday" that is pushed on everyone..and we should all know better than to be goaded to spend again (so soon after X-mas) but yet we all eventually fall into the trap.
My gal says she wants no part of it.."everyday should be Valentines Day". yet at the last moment I always end up buying her flowers and candy! Oh..and the evening dinner in a nice restaurant..

happy Valentines to all
Alek

For Oregon Statehood Day, I am going out to support Oregon based businesses. I will be eating at Burgerville and buying coffee at Coffee People. Okay, Coffee People is owned by Detrichs but still, they are a Portland institution. I know one of my friends is a little sad as his 8 year relationship is over, so I have a card to deliver to him. Since he is south of Portland, I will have many opportunities to wish everyone a happy Oregon Statehood Day.
