Hi!

Today in the morning I woke up and didn't believe my eyes, the sky was yellowish overall. It wasn't sunrise, because the clouds were yellowish!!!  Insane
The sky stayed yellowish for the whole morning until 1pm. I called a friend of mine from Zurich, Switzerland, he said they also had yellowish skies these days

LOL

What the Hell is this???

 Laugh out loud

regards, Flo

Wow,

I remember when I was skiing in the French Alps a few years ago we had winds from the Sahara. The temperature in the resort on the day we got there was 20C and we actually sat out in the evening. When it snowed, it actually snowed sand and dust that had been carried by the wind, and the ski slopes were reddish. So at the end of the day you could see clearly peoples tracks that had been left.

It was weird.

I think it is the end of the world, or at least Europe.

"A natural spectacle was seen on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004 in Lofer, Austria and in other parts of the alpine country. A violent storm from the south brought sand from the north African Sahara desert, turning the sky dark and yellow. The snow reflects the sky's yellow tones. (AP Photo/Kerstin Joensson)"

I'm entirely sure this is the fault of the USA. After all, didn't we cut down all the trees turning the Sahara into a desert? Yellow snow...now that's another issue altogether. Regards...Jack

Damn! That must be one violent system that is pushing all that sand into Europe. Does it make breathing difficult, or is the sand only in the upper parts of the atmosphere?

I'm pretty sure there aren't any real negative effects with regard to air quality.

However, you are right, its one big ass storm.. Very menacing when you see it on the radar screen! Amazingly though, in the UK we are having extremely sunny weather, which is rather surprisingly..

We're getting snow next week though, *HIGH 5*

Here's a picture of it from up and above: http://www.spiegel.de/wissenschaft/erde/0,1518,grossbild-332621-287670,00.html

It shows the northwestern part of Africa and the Canary Islands.
