Israeli newspaper reports on its website that Osama Bin Laden could have been captured in Afghanistan:

http://www.haaretzdaily.com/hasen/spages/399184.html

No U.S. authority confirmed the news so far, while a note from Pakistan army spokeman denied the fact.

This week several news reported U.S. and U.K. special forces were surrounding Osama Bin Laden and fifty other terrorist in Afghanistan near the Pakistan border.

Don't see anything glancing over news sources.

It would be nice, better if it was timed over the Democratic National Convention, but for some reason I suspect that this is a hoax.

Closest thing I see is the mention of the bus raid on CNN.

http://www.cnn.com/2004/WORLD/asiapcf/02/28/pakistan.shooting/index.html

Somehow I don't think this will pan out.

ABCnews is also reporting it as a hoax.

One has to wonder if the hardliners in Iran, are trying to make some milage by planting this story.

Would it matter? Has Iraq become a safer place since December 13th (capture of Saddam)?

Yes, much safer. The pro-Saddam loyalists and thugs were dealt a crushing blow when Saddam was caught.

Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.

Sure. That's why daily attacks continue in Bahgdad, Karbala and other places. We've given an open invitation to terrorists and to a new set of thugs.

Yes, so much safer. Not.

You just wait until the United States moves its forces out of there, there is going to be a bloody and brutal civil war when each power-hungry group of radicals try to fight their way to the top. It's just history repeating itself. The middle-eastern circle of life continues.

There is no safety there now or in the immediate future. Please don't fall for this propaganda.

I am sure Osama Bin Laden has been caught long ago. Dubya will use him as a trump card in this years election. I have a feeling that Dubya and his boys will parade out Osama Bin Laden this summer. I am sure they will stage a capture in New Mexico.
I gaurantee he will be here by November.

Nope Homer71.

I predict during the Democrat Convention, which is what July?

That way they can negate the bounce that occurs after every convention.

Fortunately with the GOP, their convention is in September so I guess they'll get the last say, so to speak.

Frankly I don't care if it is a political ploy, as long as the SOB is caught...
