Yes, April 1st the most funny day of the year. Normally I am in the mood for good jokes but now it is sunday I can't do that much.
2 years ago I caused a chaos at my school by sending an instant message to all computers on the network (about 400) displaying an errorbox with the text: This is a fire-alert. Leave the building immediately.
Well, in a matter of minutes half the schoolbuilding was empty. What a joke... unfortunately the teachers were less happy with my joke so I wasn't allowed to use the network at school for a month.

Somebody in 1971 flew over 200 tires up to the summit of Mt. Edgecome in Sitka, Ak. And then lit them on fire. The whole town thought the mountain was about to go off. Finally a USGS crew flew a helicopter up there and found the burning tires and a big, "April's Fool" stamped in the snow......

This morning from 9-11 AM, WTAM Radio 1100 (Cleveland OH's news and sports station) broadcast live coverage of the Cleveland Indians' Centennial Jubilee Parade through the streets of downtown.
They included live audio, traffic reports from SkyChief Traffic, and sidewalk interviews with spectators.
At about 10:30 they started taking phone calls.
People started calling in to say that they couldn't find the parade.

At the school computers last year I hit about 20 out of 60 where I would hit print screen past it in as a background and remove all the icons from the desktop. It was quite funny when they would double click and nothing would happen so they just kept trying needless to say this got me kicked off the computers for a week but kept me laughing the whole month!

Yeah, I posted a pic link in tech/ops asking for an explanation of a purported "chem trail" aircraft.
Personally I don't buy into it, or Art Bell in general (sometimes I find him downright scary) but I've been exposed to those ideas via Cleveland radio WTAM, which I occasionally hear at night when Bell's show is on.

I am so glad that the link came up. Thanks Redngold. There was a note from Art today that they are having to periodicly shut their server down since it is located in Anaheim.
That photo looks like it was taken from Japonski Island where the airport for Sitka is at. I have seen one other photo. It reportedly was taken a couple of weeks earlier. It is of a Bell 47 going up Sitka Sound with a cable running from one skid across to the other. The cable is just loaded with tires on it like beads.

I sent a popup message on the mac computer lab in 1997 saying "haha, all your work is gone. click ok to restart". The students were very distraught!
I got suspended from school for three days because they found out I hacked into the server. Doh!
