Here is an email my highschool rugby coach sent to me:
All of you have played rugby with Charles at some point during his four years playing for Plano rugby and will have gotten to know him to some degree. What you probably dont know about Charles is that he lost his parents over a short period of time and became an orphan around the age of 9. He was adopted by his uncle and lived with his uncles family until sadly his uncle succumbed to cancer and died when Charles was a freshman. Charles then spent a few uncomfortable years with his stepmother and family, never feeling like he belonged. During this time he met Stephanie XXX, who became his girlfriend and soul mate. He was embraced by Stephanies family and in fact became part of it, moving to Florida with them and Stephanie after leaving school. Just two weeks ago Stephanie was diagnosed as having a congenital condition with a hole in her heart and was scheduled for heart surgery. The surgery was performed but as a result of her heart now performing normally for the first time in her life, her lungs were unable to take the increased flow of blood as they were under developed due to the restricted amount of blood that they had been receiving all of her life. The repaired heart was causing complications to the lungs and the medical team had to put her into a partial coma to deal with the issue. Sadly during the course of this treatment her lungs took on fluid and became infected. Last Tuesday we heard from Charles that his friend and soul mate, Stephanie had succumbed and died. I personally can't tell you how badly I felt and for her family as I had gotten to know Stephanie well over the years and she was a delightful person as was her mother Sandy. Sandy cooked hot dogs at our matches and she and Stephanie were always there to watch and support Charles and the team. More to the point Stephanie was the light of Charles life. For the third time now personal tragedy has struck Charles and one wonders how he can go on. Charles is overwrought but very stoical. One hopes he can pick himself up and get on with his life but I believe he will need help. Here is a rugger in need of solace. Perhaps some of his rugby pals can help him through this period. If you are inclined and wish to convey any thoughts to Charles, you can call him at 407 XXXXX (H) or 407 XXXX(Cell) .
I played with this guy for one year, I knew his girlfriend, they were inseparable, they were going to get married-there was no question about that, she was at every single rugby game (even ones 300 miles away). This poor kid has had such a rough life so far. Basically what I'm saying is enjoy life. Also, you may think you have it bad, but someone always has it worse.

Greg, IHadAPheo has reason to complain about things, but generally does not. I'd rather listen to B747Skipper go on about something I don't care about then listen to some mail-order lawyer who doesn't know what he's talking about.. Then, of course, we've got HungOverrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... WellHung just being a moron complaining about profiles..
My sympathies go to this kid.. He's lost everyone he cares about, and that's something I wish on nobody. I hope he can pull through it ok.
Lets do some sexy math. We add you, subtract your clothes, divide your legs and multiply

Bad things always happen to good people, My cousin is in the same boat in a way. He is 53 he has three younger boys ages 14-19 and has leukemia. It is so bad that now he has a brain tumor. He was on all these experimental drugs and they did nothing for him. Last week his wife Anne made the choice to stop treatment and take him home from the Hospital so that he could pass away at home with his Family. He is looking very bad, I was up to see him just the other day and I don't think he will make it past the next week. Pat is one of the nicest guys you will meet, he would give you the shirt of his back and would go the distance for his friends and family. It is truly a sad thing that people are taken from us when they have so much more to give. I can not express how sorry I am for all who have to deal with this thing. I always try to see the light at the end of the tunnel and see the good in all. Sometimes I look at it like this.....(and I am in no way a religious person) but god see these people as too good for what they are here for and thus takes them back.

I guess I'm a real cynic..but it's mail order sympathy...doesn't solve anything...just suppose to put the people who say 'take care' or 'God Bless' feel better about themselves--it does nothing to solve or alter the situation. Lately, it just seems like this is some competition for who has the most devastating and depressing story.... if you don't see that...do a quick search.
If you actually get some kind of emotional validation from airliners.net....BABY you've got some serious therapy ahead of you!
No harm done..it's a forum...and it's only my opinion. Yours is respected too. Please do not make this personal.

Rough story... not that i know the kid or what he's going through, but hope everything turns out for him.
Way to go Airlinelover... use the thread to bitch about people you don't like, then throw in a canned "I hope he gets better" line at the end so you don't look like a complete ass. Sorry boy, too late.

"Only God Knows Why"
I've been sittin' here
Tryin' to find myself
I get behind myself
I need to rewind myself
Lookin' for the payback
Listen for the playback
They say that every man bleeds just like me
And now I feel like number one
Yet I'm last in life
I watch my younger son
And it helps to pass the time
I take too many pills to help to ease the pain
I made a couple of dollar bills still I feel the
Everybody knows my name
They say it way out loud
A lot of folks fuck with me
It's hard to hang out in crowds
I guess that's the price you pay
To be some big shot like I am
Out strecthed hands and one night stands
Still I can't find love
And when your walls come tumbling down
I will always be around
And when your walls come tumbling down
I will always be around
People don't know about the things I say and do
They don't understand about the shit that I've been
It's been so long since I've been home
I've been gone, I've been gone for way too long
Maybe I forgot all things I miss
Oh somehow I know there's more to life than this
I said it too many times
And I still stand firm
You get what you put in
And people get what they deserve
Still I ain't seen mine
No I ain't seen mine
I've been giving just ain't been gettin'
I've been walking down that there line
So I think I'll keep on walking
With my head held high
I'll keep moving on and only God knows why
Only God.....Only God
Only God knows why
Only God....knows....why, why, why only God knows
Take me to the river's edge
Take me to the river, hey hey hey

It is bad enough losing family members but to lose a soul mate is the worst. I feel very sorry for your friend Aa61hvy. I hope he keeps going through this difficult spell and remembers that during life anything can wash up on the shore.
