I just can't stand some of the people in the civil aviation forum !!!!!!!
One guy started a relatively " innocent " thread/topic, then he is attacked by those "knowledgeable" aviation fans ... blasting him stupid, idiotic, retarded since he wasted their precious time reading the topic .... >_<
Now give me a break, isn't everyone of us when we start loving aviaton are kinda blur at the beginning ... It is the passion that drives those beginners to post messages and ask questions. Its totally sarcastic that these aviation die-hards are the ones who drive the beginners away by those harsh, cold-blooded and insulting words .....
This place is where aviation fans from all around the world meet, bring out interesting issues, learn aviation and discuss related topics..... its not the place for someone to show off their knowledge of aviation by comtempting others....
I am not the one who got blasted, but since I am a huge aviation fan, I love this web-site and I seriously hope that everyone of us can provide a peaceful environment for the forum.

maybe you are right. Sometimes somobady (me included) doesn't show a true fairplay in answering posts.
I have no problem in helping someone who asks for infos, even the apparently stupid ones. I myself have learned a lot by people in this forum.
But when you read something like "I think jetBlue should get some DC-10s because they look great in their livery".....well, I can't help to write something hard, maybe harsh, never offending. I just try to do my part in keeping the forum as high and informative it claims to be.

Yes, I too get a little irritated when I see posts like "Southwest should get some 767's or 777's and fly international." I am just praying that posts like that are intended to be jokes! Even so, those kind of posts trash the credible information that can be found in there, which is too bad. I also get irritated at these 13-15 year old "know-it-alls" whose immature arrogance always seems to start huge flame-wars. I am sure I am not the only one who has noticed this...
You see, this is the after-effect of what day-care and Ritalin does to kids!
To most people, the sky is the limit. To those who love aviation, the sky is home

Sometimes there is a lot of questions that are very obvious, or questions that are asked time and time again.
ps- Chicken or Beef-I have never seen you post on the civil aviation forum so I don't see why you should be commenting
Give me a break, I created this username when I was a kid...

I see a very simple solution to this problem, if you don't like what the person is writing then don't respond, let 'em get on this forum and see that there thread hasn't been responded too, most people will get the message, although some won't and if it's constant and repeated then yeah then I understand if someone points out that there topic isn't the greatest put on this forum, but some people on this forum are just get flat out rude, if you can't get your point across without being rude and throwing out insults then keep it to yourself.
Have a nice day !,
