As I was going to the store yesterday I was listening to one of two radio stations worth listening to. The station I chose was the classic rock station. About half way there "Bad to the Bone" comes on. I could not change the station fast enough. I actually HATE this song.

So, I wanted to know if anyone else did this?

The Beatles are depressing? Come on now. Not all of their stuff is all 'happy' but to label them as depressing is a stretch.

Anyone who thinks the Beatles are depressing should stay well clear of Joy Division. Big grin

Now, songs that I genuinely hate: I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor. It just goes on and on and on and on and on. Can't abide it.

Whenever one of those darn "gangsta-rappers" come on - or something like that god awful "Turn me On", which is making its rounds overhere at the moment.

Funny someone should post this topic because, while driving home from work last night, I heard what has to be the biggest piece of garbage ever recorded......

Anything from Santana. That awful whining on his guitar is just indescribable despressing.

Or R&B, overdespressing.

Anything like Spice Girls, Christina Aquilera (or however you write it), Mariah Carrey is just a crime.

Also anything like Andrea Boccelli (or however you write it).

I'm sorry I cannot name a specific song, but when any music like described above is aired, I don't know how fast to change the channel/station or simply turn the TV/radio off. So I don't have just "THE most iritating" song. It's all the same depressing to me.

Brittany.."Toxic"
"Hey Ya", or anything else by Outkast
"Milkshake" by Kellis. Arguably the most stupid song ever written. The sad part is she had a decent voice when she actually decides to sing.

I will change for a few things:

Specific songs currently on "modern" stations:

That new Linkin Park song
That new Ebinescence (sp?) song

In general:

-Anything Phil Collins
-All those "punk" rock bands that sound like blink or Good Charlotte. Goddamn I hate that whiny voice.
-Oh yes all country stations

Sometimes I go about in pity for myself and all the while a great wind carries me across the sky.

'sup J.mo, how is SLC these days?

Anyway, I'm not a huge Elton John fan, which is making tonight's American Idol skew a bit tedious. Also, I can't stand Bruce Springstien, when any of his music comes on the radio, I will immediately search for other options.

Other least favorite bands (on the radio or otherwise):

Billy Joel
George Thoroughgood (Bad to the Bone)
any rap, although sometimes fun for novelty purposes
pop, i.e. Brittney, Janet, Justin, etc.

Some of the worse are Jay Z, Creed and all the man hating songs by mad b!tches.
