Somebody sent this to me via e-mail:

Robin William's plan...(Hard to argue with this logic!)

I see a lot of people yelling for peace but I have not heard of a plan for peace. So, here's one plan.

1.) The US will apologize to the world for our "interference" in their affairs, past & present. You know, Hitler, Mussolini, Tojo, Noriega, Milosevic and the rest of those 'good ole boys,' We will never "interfere" again.

2.) We will withdraw our troops from all over the world, starting with Germany, South Korea and the Philippines. They don't want us there. We would station troops at our borders. No one sneaking through holes in the fence.

3.) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their affairs together and leave. We'll give them a free trip home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up and deported immediately, regardless of who or where they are. France would welcome them.

4.) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and limited to 90 days unless given a special permit. No one from a terrorist nation would be allowed in. If you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone. We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.

5.) No foreign "students" over age 21. The older ones are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they get a "D" and it's back home baby.

6.) The US will make a strong effort to become self-sufficient energy wise. This will include developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while.

7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't like it, we go some place else. They can go somewhere else to sell their production. (About a week of the wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)

8.) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe in the world, we will not "interfere". They can pray to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it most get very little, if anything.

9.) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island some place. We don't need the spies and fair weather friends here. Besides, the building would make a good homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

10.) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school. That way, no one can call us "Ugly Americans" any longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH.....learn it...or LEAVE...Now, isn't that a winner of a plan.

"The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying 'Give me your poor, your tired, your huddled masses.' She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling,

'You want a piece of me?'"

I thought that was pretty funny. Its nice to get a good laugh in, especially in today's political climate.

What do yall think?

I think he was joking because there's no way that anyone but Bush would propose such draconian things and be serious about it.

So if outright bullying doesn´t get you what you want you´d believe sulking and giving everyone the finger would improve things all that much?

I´ve not seen it work on a schoolyard, and I somehow doubt it would work on a global scale...  Insane

Exactly. If you come to live in the US, you should have to be able to speak English fluently. I understand visitors not speaking it, but damn, I swear English is a second language here at WMU and especially in California.

Speak English or go away!

Well, do you really want somebody as hyper as he is anywhere near the Nuclear football.

I don't think this list is true, It also seems out of date, we haven't had bases in the Phillipines since Mt Pinnatobo ashed out Clarke Air Force base in 1992.

Actually, this piece has been attributed to Robin Williams however, AFAIK, the only part that allegedly truly came from Robin Williams is...

"The Statue of Liberty is no longer saying 'Give me your poor, your tired, your huddled masses.' She's got a baseball bat and she's yelling,

'You want a piece of me?'"

I do however like the idea of telling OPEC how much we are willing to pay for oil, not the other way around. Don't think it would work, but I do like the idea!

But the rest of this, I believe, is made up. I can't imagine him saying that at all. And, were Robin Williams to actually believe this, he would be a Bush supporter. And he isn't. He donated $2,000 to the Democrats.  Smile

Throw in Al Franken and Howard Stern on one end of the table, put Limbaugh on the other, and you got a deal. That'd be one hell of a show. Big grin

Sorry we cant all be as perfect as you N754pr. I guess spelling something differently, or pronoucning a word differently makes us not as good as the rest of the english speaking countries.

I canty believe you guys took something ment to be taken lightly and that is supposed to be humorous and started something out of it.

But what was I thinking? This is a.net for cryin out loud!

I know it isnt a big deal. Im tired of seeing so many people bash the U.S., but I guess it comes with the territory.

Maybe its just cuz Im having a bad day and snapped off an unecessarily angry thread.

Either way, my apoligies.

Then you've never seen Robin William's stand up routine... he may have donated to the Democrats but he has a passion for Europeans and it's not a happy passion. I believe it's safe to say that Robin Williams loathes the French. Those statements in the thread starter are consistent from what I've seen and heard of Robin Williams.

This could possibly be by him, but I'm skeptical.

I do know that he doesn't care too much for the French, however!

I just can't imagine him being this closed-minded. By all accounts he is a very friendly outgoing and funny guy. That stuff up there is just outright xenophobic. In fact...it's Bush.
