OK, I watching American Idol lately. I have noticed that John Stevens (the redhead crooner) is still on the show.
Don't get me wrong. He is at his best when he sings Tony Bennett or Engleberg Humpledink, but this kid SUCKS!
He does so bad when he sings up-tempo songs. I, honestly, think that he should be voted off the show. But Wednesday after Wednesday on the "Elimination Show" he still remains.
Yesterday, they voted off Camille Velasco. BAD, BAD, BAD mistake. America should've voted that dude off.

John Stevens is one BORING singer. He is always one or half tone under. He is also too young in my opinion for the competition.
Camile Velasco was good but with a terrible image. She got stucked in the 80's with those dreadful dresses, huge earrings and the hairdo. Glad she is gone.
One real powerful voice with a great look is this girl Fantasia Barrino (sp?). She is one hell of a good singer.
They are trying to find an idol, that is, not just one good singer, but someone that the $$$ audience $$$ follow and buy stuff from.

You should be here in Buffalo the local NBC station is falling all over themselve with stories about this kid. Every time I watch their new there he is singing away and smirking into the camera, then we get to see the manon the street interview about how wonderful he is.
I mean sure it's nice to see a local kid on TV but three stories in a 90 minute local news show ehew, I watch part of the news and there he is, i get up make something to eat sit down anda bit later there he is again a singn' and a smirkn' flip the channel to get away from him go back 20 min later damn if he i on again.

I don't watch American Idol, but I did see highlites of this past Tuesday's show on the news....this John Stevens kid actually attempted to sing Elton Johns' "Crocodile Rock".....I heard maybe 15 or 20 seconds and I can honestly say that I would rather spend 2 hours in the dentist's chair than listen to this kid sing.
I read an interesting article about A Idol on line today...I cannot remember where I read it, but it looks like quite a few people are upset about the way this years' competition is going. Last week, a girl with purple hair got voted off the show ... J. Stevens and another young man who sounds just as bad survived the elimination round. When the initial ratings numbers were announced for this weeks' show, viewership decreased by over 3 million people.
As long as 8, 9 and 10 year old girls can vote 300 times for their favorite just because they love his bright red hair.....John Stevens may never get voted off.

Yeah, i agree it is john stevens time to go. he has an interesting voice for sure- but no energy, stage prescece. plus, he forgot lyrics to a billy joel song- a felony in my book. lol. But more than John Stevens, Jon Peter Lewis is the biggest surprise to me. He cannot sing!!! its like im watching kareoke idol, i hope he gets the boot next week to end the madness!

Well, I know next week, regardless of how bad he does, he is going home. My mom just got an AT&T Wireless phone and it is alot more easier to vote that way than to call the toll free numbers which are totally busy all the time. At least this gives me chance.

On the Show (Country Night) where Amy Adams was voted off, The camera was on her for only 3 seconds when they said she was off, But then the camera then cut to J Stevens on a tight close up for a good 20 secs. That kid looked like he was going to puke, You could see in his eyes "Why Amy? Why not Me?" He knew how bad he was the night before and pratictly said so himself.

Matt Rodgers (woof), who was booted off a few weeks ago, gave an interview on a local Los Angeles station, where he pretty much said that some "higher-ups" liked Teen Red, and that having the public vote by telephone wasn't the only criterion for elimination.

Opie made the cut again!!, as per usual the local news had him a sittin' and a smirkin' while moaning his way through "Mandy". Did you see the deer in the headlights look he had while wandering around the stage while he was waiting to see if he made the cut?, he looked like he had to remind himself to breath.
